Video reveals NYC robbers' devious ploy
A pair of heartless crooks punctured a man’s tire in Queens — then plundered valuables from his disabled car when he pulled over to fix the flat, according to cops and surveillance video.
The incident took place in late November, but the cruel crime and the footage that captured it are only now coming to light. Two suspects first walked up to the car — which was parked in front of a fish market on Jamaica Avenue in the Woodhaven section around 8 p.m. Nov. 21 — and perforated the rear passenger tire, reported theOnce the 62-year-old car owner started driving and noticed that his tire gauge was off, he headed to a service station on Parsons Boulevard, with the two bandits following behind him, cops say.
Cops said a pair of thieves punctured a man’s tire on Jamaica Avenue and then followed the vehicle as the driver headed to a service station.As the unsuspecting driver was filling his flat tire with air, one of the bandits crouched beside the driver’s door.Surveillance video shows the motorist exit his car in front of a gas-station air compressor. As he bends down to fill the flat tire with air, one of the two crooks crouches next to the car, opens the driver’s side door and slips inside.
