An anonymous Facebook user going by the clever name of Anonymous Participant posted a video this weekend that has Boksburg ers gazing skywards. The user said they "witnessed strange green and red light flying object tonight. Hovered for quite a while next to a lightning cloud which was also weird because there was only lightning in this one particular cloud, no thunder no storm anywhere else. Then this object rose straight up and hovered there... Kind of curious about what it was.
" Can you spot the 'UFO' in the footage below? As much as we would love the idea of aliens visiting Boksburg, the truth turned out to be slightly less exciting. Photographer Phillipe Dunienville posted an update on the storm shortly after the 'aliens' were spotted, revealing that the green and red lights everyone saw were from his drone, which he used to capture some spectacular photos. It's rather disappointing, we know.
