Superb performances by local drummies at the provincial majorette championships, held in Boksburg, opened the doors for their teams to represent Gauteng at the national championships.
A total of 26 majorette and cheerleading teams from various parts of the region gathered at the school to compete in this year’s Gauteng majorette and cheerleading championships.During the provincial contest, St Dom’s drummies clinched the top spots in both the senior and junior school categories.Senior school category: First: St Dominic's ‘Saints’; Second: Edenglen; Third: Sir John Adamson.
The winning teams are coached by Alisha Venter, Matthew Higgs, Natalie Brink, Zoe Pretorius and Rabi Mobeng.
