Two adults and a child were injured in a shooting at Eastwood Tavern yesterday afternoon, requiring urgent medical attention.

Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo said that at about 19:00, a group of football supporters arrived at the tavern’s parking lot in two Toyota Quantums after attending a CAF Champions League match at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. “The security guard ordered them to lower the music, and a scuffle ensued. The guard pepper-sprayed some of them, and when attacked, he fired several shots,” said Masondo.
