SingHealth has appointed Associate Professor Gan Wee Hoe and Associate Professor Augustine Tee as pro-tem chief executive and medical board chairman, respectively, for the soon-to-open Eastern General Hospital in Bedok North.
From January 1, 2025, Associate Professor Gan Wee Hoe will be appointed pro-tem chief executive and Associate Professor Augustine Tee will be appointed pro-tem medical board chairman of the Eastern General Hospital (EGH), which is set to open between 2029 and 2030 in Bedok North . SingHealth announced these appointments on November 27.
Prof Gan will continue to serve as the chief executive of SingHealth Community Hospitals while Prof Tee will step down from his position as chairman of the medicine division at Changi General Hospital. Prof Gan, an experienced occupational physician, will oversee the hospital's strategies and operations. Prof Tee, with a background in respiratory and critical care medicine, will lead the development of professional services and clinical specialties at EGH
