Summerside police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Pope Road, which claimed the life of a 73-year-old woman and sent another pedestrian to hospital on Monday, Oct. 10. FileSUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 73-year-old woman is dead after a vehicle-pedestrian collision on the morning on Oct. 10 in the city.
Around 9:30 a.m., Summerside Police Services responded to the collision on Pope Road near Mill Crescent. Police said a Summerside woman died as a result of the collision and a second pedestrian was taken to hospital by Island EMS for treatment of undetermined injuries.An investigation is underway involving the Summerside Police Services forensic identification section and an RCMP collision analyst.
