A heat warning remains in effect for Metro Vancouver, with daytime highs of 30 C and 35 C inland possible today through Sunday.
The agency warns that extreme heat can affect everyone, however the risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Residents are asked to watch for the effects of heat illness, which include swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.26 C and 32 C inland.
