Covering what to wear and where to go, here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll need to know for Sunday’s race.
Spotting a water station during the Vancouver Sun Run is usually a welcome sight – but a 60 per cent chance of rain might be a bit much.
The West Coast Express will run a special train to ensure runners get to the event on time. The train departs Mission City at 7 a.m. and will stop at all WCE stations before arriving at Waterfront Station at 8:15 a.m. The return trip leaves Waterfront at 1 p.m. and will be back in Mission for 2:15 p.m.
Since there could be rain this year, you’ll want to wear a hat with a brim to keep the rain from your face, dress in layers but don’t overdress, or even wear a garbage bag as a makeshift rain jacket while you wait for the race to begin. Where does the Sun Run start? It depends on what you wrote down for your estimated/previous race time on your registration. The start line is divided into corrals based on race times – just check the map below to see where you should go.
