After nearly five decades of Eva Taylor losing contact with her dad, Eddie Taylor, they shared a meal at a Los Angeles fast food restaurant five years ago for the first time. After nearly five decades of extensive searching to find her father, Eva Taylor finally hit pay dirt five years ago in an unexpected way when his photo popped up online.
“I had quit looking for him,” Taylor said. “Then, his name showed up in big bold letters on the top with a background picture. I felt like there was hope. I knew he was alive. I was pretty much at ease … to know he was alive and the worry he was alive was no longer there.” When she saw her father after all those years, he was sitting in his van. She gave him a big hug and held his hand for a long time.
She found him in a San Fernando Valley hospital a few days later. “I didn’t know if he was alive, but he was hanging on,” she said, and he fully recovered from the motorcycle accident.
