Her husband announced the sad news on Sunday
Tributes have begun to pour in for Annie Wersching, who tragically passed away following a three-year battle against cancer.
Annie had a career that spanned over two decades and saw the actress work with legends like Sir Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry and Alyssa Milano. David Blue, who has worked on shows like Ugly Betty, wrote: “Wow. I didn’t know Annie Wersching, aside from her consistently fantastic work. But from all the kind words today, she was as amazing a person as an actor. My heart goes out to her family & all her knew her.”
Vampire Diaries showrunner Julie Plec also wrote: “So sad to hear this. I became a fan from 24 and was lucky to be able to have Annie play mama to two of the hottest vamps in town.”
