So, he was a really good tackler and a really strong ball carrier all year,” said Lawrence, noting Morton sustained a shoulder injury, preventing him from playing the final two games.
As for those who played in the forward pack, Lawrence said they took a committee approach, which seemed to work out well.“Ian Duey, I think, played every game in the front row and is still getting it done,” he said.The play of the Valley’s scrum half, Eamonn Sullivan, also received a shout out.Despite Enfield’s unrelenting drive to score, player-coach Axel Lawrence said the Valley Rugby Union men’s squad never gave up putting pressure on them.
