Utah Valley head coach Todd Phillips dipped into the local talent pool again, this time signing Wasatch Academy forward Osiris Grady.

Grady chose UVU over USC, Texas Tech, West Virginia and several other high-major programs. He was rated a three-star recruit by 247 Sports. Grady’s commitment is another recruiting victory for Phillips. The first-year UVU head coach already brought in two local transfers: Utah State transfer Trevin Dorius, from Heber City, agreed to come to the mid-major school; Southern Utah guard Drake Allen, from Eagle Mountain, also will join Phillips in 2023.
This is on top of Phillips getting Corner Canyon senior Jaxson Roberts to sign on. Roberts will serve a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints mission in Spain, but will return to the program in two years.most of UVU’s production left as well. Lead guards Trey Woodbury and Justin Harmon entered the transfer portal. Le’Tre Darthard, a major contributor, went to Oklahoma. Seven-foot sophomore Aziz Bandaogo left for Cincinnati.and went to the NIT Championship game before losing to North Texas.
