The National Weather Service issued a high wind advisory from noon until midnight Tuesday across much of western Utah, extending into the Salt Lake and Tooele Valleys. After highs in the mid-60s Tuesday, rain, snow and much colder temperatures will follow Wednesday as a cold front moves through the state. According to the weather service, the mountains will get about 6-12 inches of snow. Southwest valleys could see anywhere from trace snow up to 6 inches.
There’s a 60% chance of more snow Thursday, mostly before 7 a.m., with accumulations of less than another inch. And there’s a 30% chance of a bit more snow on Thursday evening, mostly before 7 p.m.
