I was actually born in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. A lot of people don't know that about me. But I was raised in Newfoundland. All of my family are from Newfoundland. I was raised in Conception Bay South.I live in Nashville. But I have to say, I kind of have one foot in Nashville and one foot in C.B.S. I do get to spend a lot of time at home.

I love Dolly Parton, obviously. Jason Isbell ... Kelly Loder. Carolina East. Justin Fancy. Fortunate Ones. Alan Doyle. Fairgale.

Newfoundland country artists Mallory Johnson recently released her new single"Married." - ContributedHonestly, this year has been pretty amazing. I feel like it's really exciting to reflect and look back, look at the vision board and see the milestones that you've reached that you maybe didn't expect to. And this year has been amazing.

I would hope people would say that I'm kind to others. I think my worst quality is that I'm a bit of a perfectionist. And that can sometimes be very challenging, especially when it comes to my music with songwriting or getting some mixes back.Newfoundland is my favourite place. Love Nashville, don't get me wrong. But there's no place like home.Dolly Parton is definitely one of them. I think Ellen Degeneres would be a really great time. ... Michelle Obama would be cool.
