The US has requested a rapid-response labor mechanism panel at a Grupo Mexico mine under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, the Office of the US Trade Representative said on Tuesday. The issue involves a labor dispute at the San Martin mine in the Mexican state of Zacatecas, the trade representative's office said. The United States on June 16 asked Mexico to review whether workers at the San Martin mine were being denied the rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
