Picture: AFP/AL DRAGO— Infectious disease specialist Anthony Fauci doesn’t necessarily “have the whole national interest in mind” in suggesting responses to the pandemic, one of President Donald Trump’s coronavirus task force members said on Sunday.
The Washington Post reported on Sunday that Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984, has been increasingly sidelined within the administration. Giroir said there’s no silencing of Fauci or other members of the White House task force, which is led by vice-president Mike Pence.
