Overview Project Cost: $16,584,000
The Arizona Department of Transportation initiated pavement preservation projects on US 60 and State Route 260 in the Show Low area in summer 2021. These roadways serve as major corridors in Show Low and are some of the most-traveled corridors in the White Mountains region.
The two projects include removing the existing pavement and replacing it with new pavement. Other work includes installing new guardrail, curb and gutter and sidewalks. The projects are being constructed at the same time.Lane restrictions will be in place during daytime hours or weekends, and business access will be maintained at all times during construction.
ADOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment while the following daytime and overnight restrictions are in place: US 60 : Intermittent east- and westbound lane closures from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning Monday mornings and continuing through Friday evenings.
SR 260 : Intermittent east- and westbound lane closures from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning Monday mornings and continuing through Friday evenings.Motorists should be prepared for delays of up to 20 minutes during daytime and some overnight work.Construction began in summer 2021. Work is currently occurring on the west end of US 60 and on SR 260 at Show Low Lake Road.Schedule subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen factors.
