We are already knee-deep into the next American presidential race. This is the case even though the actual election is not until 3 November 2020 and the actual inauguration of the next president will not happen until 20 January 2021. The process, persons and complexities of the American electoral process can make it hard for non-Americans to keep track of all the parts.
