Record View says more needs to be done to stem the tide of youth violence in Scotland
That’s why the testimony today from Hazel Haig, the mum of a teenager who killed a schoolboy in Glasgow two years ago, is powerful and should be heard. Nothing excuses the actions of Hazel’s son Daniel, who was 16 when he stabbed 14-year-old schoolboy Justin McLaughlin to death at the city’s High Street station.
There is an epidemic of youth violence in Scotland and if we are to ever cure it, first we have to understand it. To do that, as hard as it may be, we need to hear all sides. Fears are rising It’s an outrage that nine out of 10 people in Scotland are worried about the price of food rising even higher this year.
