Seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady has joked he would 'not be around tonight' if he announced another return to the NFL, and insisted he is only allowed to un-retire from the game once.

Staff Reports Headland outscored Carroll 36-0 over the game’s final 26 minutes to erase a six-point deficit and cruise to a 52-22 home win on Friday night in high school football action.

Headland’s other first-half scores came on a 6-yard run by Caleb Dozier and a 19-yard pass from Williams to Dozier. Eufaula, which was denied a chance to clinch the region, dropped to 3-1 and is tied with Headland , while Charles Henderson, Carroll and Rehobeth are all 2-2 going into the last week of region play next Friday. Eufaula travels to Rehobeth, Headland to Charles Henderson and Carroll to Greenville.

For Eufaula , Browning Anderson threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns on 18-of-27 passing with Zachai Steele catching eight passes for 82 yards and both TDs. Antorian Slaughter rushed for 58 yards on 12 carries, Anderson rushed for 46 on 15 carries and Marquia “Red” Harris 41 yards on 11 carries and all three had a rushing touchdown.

However, Cottonwood scored twice before halftime to go up 20-15 and pulled away with four second-half touchdowns, finishing off 40 straight points. Geneva threw a Hail Mary pass on fourth down as time expired, but Smith batted it down as Dale County secured the victory. Rehobeth 21, Greenville 18: Patrick Banda threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Caleb Chadwick with eight minutes left for a go-ahead score and the Rebels held on for their third straight win and kept their state playoff hopes alive.

Tristan Silavent had 77 yards rushing on 12 carries with two touchdowns to lead the rushing attack. Lawson Leger had six catches for 87 yards and three touchdowns. Trevor Johnston also had a touchdown run.Ariton led just 14-12 after the first quarter. The Purple Cats outscored the Yellow Jackets 27-0 after halftime.

Logan Fowler had 45 yards rushing on nine carries with a touchdown, Carter Meyers had five receptions for 72 yards with a score, Gabe Glover caught three passes for 71 yards with a touchdown and Garrison Gay had two catches for 22 yards and a score. Jakelleus Lane had eight tackles, one sack and a caused fumble. Nelson Hall had seven tackles and a sack. Landon Langley returned an interception 36 yards.

Defensively, Bryce Griffin had eight tackles, two for loss, Noah Williams had seven and Sconiers six. The game featured 10 turnovers – five for both teams. Straughn had four interceptions and a fumble recovery on defense and New Brockton had three fumble recoveries and two interceptions on defense.Houston County 35, Pleasant Home 7: The Lions roared to their third win in eight games, beating Pleasant Home.
