Update on DWP disability payments and eligibility for PIP, ESA, DLA, attendance allowance CostOfLivingCrisis
Around six million people are set to receive a £150 one-off payment in the coming days and weeks. The Cost of Living Disability payment is being issued by the government to an attempt to help combat the cost of living crisis.
It is hoped that the money will help disabled people with the rising cost of living. It comes from a £37 billion package of support from the government, which will see millions of households receive at least £1,200 this year to help cover rising costs.The payment was meant to start hitting bank accounts last Tuesday however, some recipients complained that the money hadn't yet been paid.
Work and Pensions Secretary Chloe Smith said: "We know disabled people face additional costs and this government is listening and taking decisive action to protect the most vulnerable in our society.
