At least 14 people have died after gunmen opened fire at a tavern in Orlando, Soweto. Several people have been rushed to hospital in critical condition.

JOHANNESBURG - Fourteen people were killed in a mass shooting at a Soweto tavern just after midnight."Yes I can confirm that incident did happen and it happened around 12:30am this morning," Gauteng Police Commissioner Elias Mawela said."They just came in and shot at them randomly," Mawela said."The age range is just an estimation from my detectives to say they are between 19 and 35 years.
The Gauteng Police Commissioner wants liquor outlet trading hours to be looked at. Over a dozen people have been shot and killed at a tavern in Orlando, Soweto. A total of 23 people were shot in the early hours of this morning at Nomzamo Tavern, three of which are in critical condition in hospital.
