Unity meet: Component parties focussing on finding common ground, says Fadillah

KUALA LUMPUR: The strength of a country lies in unity across all layers of society, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

"Regardless of whether it’s politics, social or business, if we are united, everything else will fall in place."This allows us to build a country that is strong and harmonious in all aspects," he told reporters after attending the Unity Government National Youth Convention at the World Trade Centre here on Sunday .

Fadillah added that component parties were focussing on similarities and not differences among one another. "We need to look at finding common ground to strengthen unity among Malaysians, improve livelihoods and our economy.Let’s end political rivalry among Youth leaders in unity govt, says Adam Adli Fadilah, the Unity Government Secretariat secretary-general, also witnessed a plaque signing ceremony by the youth wings of the component parties.

The plaque was signed by Barisan Nasional Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh, Gabungan Parti Sarawak deputy Youth chief Lukanisman Awang Sauni, Parti Warisan Youth chief Mohd Ismail Ayob, Pakatan Harapan Youth chief Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah Youth chief Jonnybone Kurum.
