“But we’re getting to the end of that,” he added. “Now we are looking at job cuts of people who do not want to leave their jobs.”authorities are facing a £3bn funding gap over the two years. “But more services will be lost and jobs axed across the country unless the government intervenes with significant extra funding. Not just for those authorities on the brink, but for every single council.”
