An undocumented 39-year-old Mexican national was arrested after he was found operating a drug laboratory worth R100 million in Rietfontein , Tshwane . The arrest was made after extensive surveillance by a multi-disciplinary team of police units, which included the National and Provincial Organised Crime Investigations (Narcotics units), National Counter Narcotics, Diepsloot and Westrand Tactical Response Teams, and the West Rand K9 unit.
The team obtained a search and seizure warrant, leading to the seizure of various chemicals, drug manufacturing equipment, and a significant quantity of Methamphetamine, also known as Crystal Meth or Tik. The suspect is now facing charges of drug dealing and manufacturing, as well as contravention of the Immigration Act
