An unconscious man was found in a forested area at Ulu Sembawang Park Connector on July 29.
Mr Tan Kim Chwee was walking along the park connector when he spotted the man at the foot of a downslope forested area, approximately 20m away from the footpath.
Mr Tan and Mr Jayaretnam continued to keep close observation of the man and provided crucial information to the police when they arrived.On Aug 7, Mr Tan and Mr Jayaretnam were presented with the Public Spiritedness Award by Woodlands Police Division. "If not for their alertness and decisive actions, the Home Team would have had to expend significant resources and efforts to find the man, had his family reported him missing.
