Ultra South Africa is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a bang, bringing two new stages dedicated to Amapiano and Afrobeat lovers. The festival will take place at The Ostrich in Cape Town on Friday, May 9th, and at the Expo Centre at Nasrec in Johannesburg on Saturday, May 10th.This year's event boasts a stellar lineup of DJs, including electronic music giants like Armin van Buuren, ISOxo, and KSHMR on the main stage.

The Resistance Stage will showcase underground talent with artists like Massano, Mind Against, and South Africa's own Shimza. Shaun Duwe, from Ultra South Africa, shared that the first edition holds a special place in their hearts, marking the beginning of something truly extraordinary. Looking back at the past decade, Duwe feels the same energy and excitement as they witness the community grow stronger.The festival's history is intertwined with notable moments, including Martin Garrix's debut performance at the first Ultra South Africa a decade ago. Garrix, who recently spoke about the exhaustion of constant touring, will be returning to the stage. Ultra, like many events, faced challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, but the 2023 edition marks a triumphant return with enthusiastic anticipation from both the team and the fans. The Groove Room, dedicated to Amapiano and Afrobeat, will feature South Africa's biggest names in the genre, including Kabza De Small, Maphorisa, DBN GOGO, and many more.
