A TikTok creator, whose username is @boitumelo_s, has gone viral for sharing a video of the free grocery parcel she received as a student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal ( UKZN ). The video, which has garnered over 2,000 likes, shows the student unpacking the contents of the parcel, which included a variety of essential food items.
Among the items were Kellogg's cornflakes, Maggi noodles, Lucky Star tin fish, 500g of Huletts sugar, a packet of maize, Aromat, salt, a pack of sanitary pads, and other necessities like soap. The university also included a can of jam and a pack of Glen tea. The student explained that she received the parcel because she is registered in the Health Sciences faculty and is a new student, having started classes just three weeks ago.The video has sparked positive reactions from online users, who praised UKZN for its efforts in supporting students in need.
