Moscow is open to serious proposals on resolving the crisis in Ukraine, Russia's foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.
"In addition, the demilitarisation and denazification of Ukraine needs to take place, all threats coming from its territory need to be eliminated and its non-nuclear status needs to be guaranteed along with respect for the rights of Russian speakers and ethnic minorities."Vladimir Putin is visiting Crimea to mark the ninth anniversary of the region's annexation from Ukraine, according to reports from Russian state media.
In February last year, Rusia's communications regulator ordered independent media to remove reports describing Moscow’s attack on Ukraine as an"assault, invasion, or declaration of war". Buildings have been left damaged after Russian rockets hit a residential area in the city of Zaporizhzhia overnight.
Russia should"take advantage" of the crisis in Turkey brought on by the recent earthquake and annexe some of its territories, former Russian politician Semyon Bagdasarov has said.an adviser to Ukraine's ministry of internal affairs, Mr Bagdasarov is seen speaking on the"difficult situation" in Turkey right now.
The attacks were carried out from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov and Russia's Bryansk province, which borders Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian air force.
