13:59:25Two Iranian-born brothers have been jailed for spying for Russian military intelligence.

"It is placed beyond reasonable doubt that the brothers, together and in consultation, without authorisation and for the benefit of Russia and the GRU, acquired, forwarded and disclosed information" to a foreign power with the purpose of damaging Sweden's security, the court said in its verdict. He added it is vital that Russia understands they will be"pushed back, out of Ukraine" and their sovereignty will be restored.

The White House has reportedly come to believe that if Ukraine can show that they could threaten Russian control of Crimea it would strengthen Kyiv's hand in potential negotiations.
