A fight broke out at a summit in Turkey after a Russian delegate pulled down a Ukrainian flag.
"On 4 May at about 8pm during a planned flight in Kyiv region, control was lost over a Baykartar TV2 drone," the air force said in a statement on Telegram. "Russian officials in several cities claimed that they were cancelling 9 May events and parades out of concern for participants of the 'special military operation'", the ISW states.
Alexei Zhuravlev, who is the deputy chairman of the State Duma Defence Committee, said the country needed to formulate a way to defend it from future attacks. But the US said the allegations were"ludicrous" and there was no conclusive evidence the attack even took place; "The United States will never look away from what is happening in Ukraine," said Vedant Patel, the principal deputy spokesperson at the State Department.
