Zanele Mbokazi returned to Ukhozi FM in July 2022 following the departure of Sbu Buthelezi.
Zanele MbokaziNkambule gave an update on her wife’s health onTwo weeks ago, Mbokazi had to be taken off her Sunday show after she struggled with pains while on air.
According to Nkambule, the pains went away and Mbokazi returned to work the following Sunday but she again couldn’t finish her show. And that prompted the family to take her to hospital last week Monday where she was diagnosed with lung cancer.“She was admitted to the hospital that last Monday, not this past Monday, and the doctors checked everything, and they even took her to theatre, meaning they managed to find the problem,” said Nkambule.
“I’d like everyone, friends, family and fans to know that the doctors discovered that Zanele has lung cancer.The Crown Gospel Music Awards salutes and celebrates excellence within the Gospel Music Industry in South Africa and beyond, and Mbokazi is the brain behind it. She established the Crown Gospel Music Awards in 2008, and Durban became its home for more than a decade before one of the events was recently moved to Johannesburg, FNB Stadium.
