A new study has revealed the UK's cheapest seaside town for a day out, and it's a popular spot that has everything from cheap meals to affordable parking
Despite the less than ideal weather so far this summer, there's a ray of hope for sunnier days in the latter half of July and an impending mini heatwave.
Lowestoft emerged as the most affordable seaside location for a day out, with an average meal out costing just £5.50. Lowestoft, located in East Suffolk, offers the cheapest seaside day out, with relatively low costs across all categories. Margate in Kent came in as the second-most affordable seaside spot for a day out, with an average pint of beer costing just £3.18 - 61 percent cheaper than the national average.
