UH's Shaun Maswanganyi advances to 100, 200 finals at NCAA outdoor track championships
University of Houston sprinter Shaun Maswanganyi advanced to the finals in the 100 and 200 meters at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.
Maswanganyi ran the fourth-fastest time in school history in the 100 and posted the third-fastest time in the 200. It marked the third straight year that the South African has advanced to the finals in both events. De’Vion Wilson advanced to Saturday’s final in the 110-meter hurdles with a school-record 13.37 seconds.Rice’s Alexander Slinkman finished 11th in the pole vault at 17-10 ½.
