Uganda on Wednesday dismissed claims in a report by UN experts that it was backing M23 rebels active in the restive east of the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo.Also receive offers from The Africa Report's partners “Since the resurgence of the M23 crisis, Uganda has not prevented the presence of the M23 and Rwandan soldiers on its territory, nor their passage, including during the capture of Bunagana on 12 June 2022,” the authors of the report state.Defence spokesman Akiiki said Uganda and the DRC have been engaged in “peace-building infrastructure … that greatly improved relations between our two countries”.
