In the bustling streets of Kampala, the abundant presence of boda bodas has become both a lifeline and a looming threat.
Over the past few months, Kampala has witnessed a disturbing increase in boda boda accidents, leaving a trail of injuries and fatalities in its wake. Moreover, the lack of proper training and regulation exacerbates the problem, as many boda riders operate without valid licenses or insurance. The absence of designated lanes for boda bodas further compounds the problem, leading to chaotic scenes of swerving bikes and near misses on a daily basis.
As the toll of boda accidents continues to mount, urgent action is needed to address this pressing issue.
