Sharlize Palacios hits two more home runs and pitcher Taylor Tinsley goes the distance in a 6-1 victory as the Bruins sweep the best-of-three Super Regional series.

Maya Brady singled to start the top of the fourth inning and stole second base. Palacios then sent a ball soaring over the right field wall to give UCLA a 4-1 lead. She added a solo home run in the top of the sixth. The two have known each other since they were roughly 12 years old playing travel softball, which has made this postseason run even more special.
“It’s already been written out,” Palacios said. “We know how it’s going to end already, so you just have to trust the process and just sit back and enjoy it.” Sophomore pitcher Taylor Tinsley pitched a complete game, allowing four hits in seven innings while striking out six, including pinch hitter Sarah Gordon to end the game. Tinsley, who is from Georgia, got the start in the circle on Friday night after freshman lefty Kaitlyn Terry threw a complete game on Thursday.
