Tobias Vogel takes over as CEO of UBS Europe at the beginning of July. The former head of investment banking and asset management in Germany will succeed Christine Novakovic at the helm of the Frankfurt-based institution, where the Swiss bank bundles its European business.The well-known manager, who has been with the bank for more than twelve years in various positions, has headed Europabank since September 2019.
In the future, Novakovic will focus «unreservedly» on her new, expanded role as head of GWM EMEA , it said.Vogel has been with UBS for nearly 20 years, working primarily in Frankfurt and London. Since 2019, a member of the executive board of UBS Europe.In the German business, he was instrumental in the successful alignment and further development and turnaround of the business, it added.
