Uber is launching a car sharing service in Toronto. The company said the new service, dubbed “Uber Carshare,” will launch “later this summer” in Toronto and Boston.
The ride-hailing company made the announcement at its Go-Get-Zero event on Thursday.

In an email to customers, the company billed the service as an affordable way to rent a car for a weekend, day or a few hours.Uber acquired Australian car sharing network Car Next Door in 2022 and rebranded it as Uber Carshare.
