According to Statista, revenue in the online food delivery market is projected to reach $2.68 billion in 2025. Uber Eats’ 2024 Cravings Report also highlighted several interesting food delivery trends. This includes one user who ordered Beef Brisket Ramen and wrote, “In the swirling mists of your ramen creation, I’ve a trifling, yet bold, culinary sensation.”

R20 000 Reward Offered for Information on Baboon MurderThe South African National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA) is offering a substantial reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for the brutal killing of a baboon named Raygun at Botleng Secondary School in Delmas. The incident, captured on video and widely shared online, has sparked national outrage. The NSPCA is also seeking information about the origin of the footage, urging those who filmed the attack to come forward. The organisation alleges that school management is obstructing the investigation by refusing to identify the learners involved. Local superstition surrounding baboons and witchcraft reportedly fuelled the attack, with claims that children had fainted earlier in the day, leading to the belief that the baboon was casting a spell. The community is alleged to have been involved in the chase and is actively protecting those responsible, hindering the NSPCA's efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
