The ‘Water’ hitmaker, whose real name is Tyla Laura Seethal, was up against tough competition, including global artists like Burna Boy, Tems, Central Cee, and YG Marley. However, it was Tyla who emerged victorious, adding yet another accolade to her growing collection. In addition to the World Artist of the Year award, Tyla was nominated for two other categories: R&B Song of the Year for ‘Water’ and Dance Song of the Year for her remix of ‘Water’ with Marshmello.
