Tyla certainly gave us a masterclass in killing the game and bagging awards this year. She concludes the year by winning not one but two Billboard Music Awards for Top Afrobeats Artist and Top Afrobeats Song .The queen of “popiano” has done it again, taking home two Billboard Music Awards for Top Afrobeats Artist and Top Afrobeats Song for “Water”, a stunning achievement out of the eight nominations she received.
Not only did she claim two awards, but she also brought the house down with a lit performance of her hit songs. Tyla opened her set with “Push 2 Start” and closed it with the fiery banger “Shake Ah,” leaving everyone in awe.After her performance, Tyla was presented with her accolades. During her acceptance speech, she graciously thanked her dancers for their energy, her record label Epic Records, the BBMAs for the recognition, her loyal fans, the “Tygers” as well as God and her family.
