South African police have arrested two Zimbabwean nationals in Limpopo for possession of 148.5kg of dagga worth R500,000.
Police in Limpopo have arrested two Zimbabwean nationals after catching them with 148.5 kilograms of dagga, worth approximately R500,000.According to SAPS Limpopo spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the arrests followed a joint operation between law enforcement and local farmers.
“Officers stopped a truck carrying a male driver and a female passenger. Upon searching the vehicle, they discovered 106 small bags, 10 large bags, and two refuse bags filled with dagga,” Ledwaba stated.Authorities took the pair into custody on Thursday and will present them before a magistrate’s court soon on drug possession and trafficking charges.as suspects abandoned their contraband and fled on foot to evade arrest.
