Remembering Magesh | Two years later, Zwai Bala still feels the emptiness of Tokollo's passing
It is often said that you do not know what you have until it's gone and people ought to give loved ones their roses when they can still smell them.
Tshabalala, renowned for his crafty Kwaito lyrics, tragically passed away on 15 August 2022. His lifeless body was found at his home after he suffered an epileptic attack.Speaking to City Press on Wednesday 14 August, Bala said that Tshabalala’s death left him with a deep emptiness and the realisation of the importance of acknowledging loved ones and giving the affection they need.It still fits home even today, considering that two months never passed without us seeing each other.
In 1998, TKZee released their first full album, Halloween, which became a huge hit with smash singles like We Love This Place. Nearly two years after Tshabalala’s passing, last month, his father and football icon Stanley Screamer Tshabalala met his untimely death after succumbing to injuries he had sustained during a house robbery in March.
