Efforts to rid our streets from the illegal possession of firearms from the hands of criminals who commit serious and violent crimes yielded success when police members searched a premises in Khayelitsha on Monday, 30 October 2023.
A joint operation between Public Order Police and Crime Intelligence led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man when the members searched a premises in the Ndolovini informal settlement after information was gathered about firearms at the premises. During the search the members found a two firearms inside the dwelling.
In an unrelated matter members of Gugulethu police arrested an adult male when he was found with a firearm in his possession on Monday afternoon.
