Giovanni Pernice has been backed by two of his fellow Strictly Come Dancing stars as he continues to deny claims of 'abuse' following his explosive axing from the dance show.
Two stars from Strictly Come Dancing have shown their support for Giovanni Pernice as the trio prep for a fresh endeavour.
After conceding he's a "perfectionist", Giovanni was dropped from this year's line-up of the renowned dance show, although he had been in discussions to make a return. Since then, in light of parallel accusations levelled at Graziano Di Prima, Giovanni has garnered backing from several former colleagues and personalities from the show, showing disregard for the ongoing tumult and inquiry notably from Strictly judges Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood.
While dancer Giovanni Pernice is teaming up with Anton Du Beke in the Anton and Giovanni Together show, head judge Shirley Ballas hasn't shied away from commenting on the recent controversy involving Giovanni. Back in July, she was quite vocal when she declared: "All I can say is that we have got some of the best professionals in the world on our show.
As Giovanni dismisses the complaints against him, fellow professional Graziano Di Prima reflects on his own dismissal from the show with a sense of remorse, recalling: "The only thing I can think of is the time I kicked the floor in frustration. We'd practised hour after hour to perfect a routine with lifts."
