A fire tore through a house early Sunday morning in San Lorenzo, leaving two people injured and one cat dead.
The blaze began shortly before 2:30 a.m. on the 700 block of Via Manzanas, according to Ryan Nishimoto, deputy chief of the Alameda County Fire Department. When firefighters arrived, they found two people leaving the house — both of whom appeared to suffer third-degree burns.A cat also died in the fire, Nishimoto said.
