The blaze on the Stewartstown Road was extinguished at around 4.10pm

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service was called to a house fire in the Stewartstown Road area on Wednesday, September 27 at 3.40pm.

They were treated at the scene by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and taken to hospital for further treatment. A spokesperson added that the fire started in the kitchen of the house, and a working smoke alarm helped alert the NIFRS to the incident. Police officers also attended the scene along with the NIAS and NIFRS. A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Police received a report of a fire at a property on the Stewartstown Road at 3.50pm this afternoon, Wednesday September 27th.

In a tweet, Trafficwatch NI advised motorists of traffic delays in the area as a result of this incident. They said: "Ongoing incident on the Stewartstown Road close to the junction with Twinbrook Road. Causing delays in both directions. Please allow extra time for your journey."
