Two people die following eight-vehicle crash on M40
Two people have died in serious crash involving eight vehicles on the M40 southbound, police said.Thames Valley Police said two more people were taken to hospital with serious injuries and a further 10 people sustained minor injuries.Det Ch Insp Mike Bettington said: "Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the two people who died.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage, to please get in touch." National Highways said the M40 would be shut southbound between junctions four and five for a "considerable time".The northbound carriage was also closed but reopened at around 11:30.Find BBC News: East of England on
