The men were arrested after Hawks members received information about a group of suspects who were dealing in drugs at Park Rynie near Scottburgh.

Counter Narcotics , Crime Intelligence , Port Shepstone K9, Port Shepstone Tactical Response Team as well as the Scottburgh Visible Policing.received information about a group of suspects who were dealing in drugs at Park Rynie near Scottburgh."Yesterday , a takedown operation was conducted and the two were arrested. During the operation police seized various types of drugs including rock cocaine, CAT and crystal math to the street value of approximately R8,700," said the Hawks .

"On May 11, 2023, the Hawks executed a search warrant at the Sergeant's place of residence in Hennenman. He was found in the company of a female. Upon searching, 14 tablets of mandrax were found. Both suspects were released pending a forensic report," said Mohobeleli.
